Dr. Tanu Jain’s Education Qualification is that she has completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Regarding her educational background, Dr. Tanu Jain is a Dentist who finished her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Subharti Medical College, Meerut. During her studies, she experienced a roadmap transformation as she felt that doctors could not be as transformative in changing lives and society as Tanu felt an IAS officer could be. This realization spurred her to embark on her UPSC examination journey.

She has formatted her preparations for the 2014 UPSC Civil Services Examinations with commitment and sincerity, and she studied day and night for at least 7 to 8 hours. She was rewarded when the UPSC released the exam results. Dr Tanu Jain has attempted the UPSC exam six times and cleared it in the third attempt, and she was allocated the Armed Forces Headquarters Service in 2015.
Further, Dr. Tanu Jain continued her work and served the country for two years. Later, she became a member of the UPSC interviewers at Drishti IAS Institute and started doing mock interviews for every aspirant. Dr. Jain will be working as an interviewer for the next few years. While working there, she earned a lot of fame and popularity.
In her first attempt, Tanu Jain cleared the UPSC prelims exam in just 2 months of preparation, but she couldn’t clear the main exam then, so Tanu Jain secured 648th rank in her third attempt in 2014.
Dr. Tanu Jain’s optional was philosophy, but her optional subject in previous attempts was Sanskrit. Still, Tanu changed it to philosophy while reading the last year’s papers.
As per reports, Tanu Jain did not join any coaching while preparing for her optional subject, nor did she solve any test series. She believes that solving the previous year’s papers was enough to help her secure good marks in her optional subject, so she was stuck by self-study preparation and solving pyqs.
Dr. Tanu Jain is the founder of Tathastu Institute of Civil Services, and she expressed her desire to become a full-time teacher and her passion for teaching as the reason for leaving her Indian Administration Services job. She opened her IAS coaching Centre called ‘Tathastu’ in Delhi, indicating her dedication to guiding and mentoring future UPSC civil servants.
