Snapchat Instagram Girl Hand In Hospital Some time ago, an extraordinary but sad story happened. Which involved a young girl, her use of popular social networks. Such as Snapchat and Instagram, and an accident that led to her severed hand. The story raised much debate regarding the public, especially the pediatrician’s role in social media consumption.
The girl, about 12 years old, was traveling in a car with her relatives. She was hanging her hand out the window and taking pictures of her hand while driving on the highway in the car with her family. She was sharing these photographs and videos on Snapchat and Instagram stories.
One day, while driving with her husband, her hand hit one of the bridge posts when the vehicle approached an overpass bridge violently. The gruesome effect separated her hand from her body as if it were a tree branch that had been cut off. The girl was taken to the hospital in a terrible state, according to the nurse’s report. Doctors could later be able to reconnect her hand surgically, but the significant damage was already done.
The use of social media sites raises many concerns, especially about the permissibility of young teenagers and the behaviors they exhibit. The female is inventive and appreciates Snapchat and Instagram but got addicted to the idea of a persona and fans. That is why she did not realize that this was a dangerous behavior; she was obsessed with him.
I want to stress that social platforms themselves are not to blame. This case illustrates some of the pitfalls young people can endure on their quests for social stardom. It means that they are placed in danger through the use of applications. For they do not understand that likes and comments are not worth risking their lives for.
It also shows how parents struggle to understand and oversee how their children use the social media platforms. Applications such as Snapchat or Instagram allow children to use social networks intensively with no parental knowledge or control. It’s hard for parents to know how responsibly or dangerously their children engage in these apps.
Parents will have to find time to sit down with their kids, explain what social media is, and set some rules on how the kids should use those tools effectively. However, supervision will challenge teenagers’ creativity in using internet-connected devices almost anywhere.
Even though what has occurred to this young social media enthusiast is very regrettable. To say the least, one can perhaps, after the event and traumatizing episode, list some lessons to be learned. As much as the girl and her family embraced the fame of having a social media account where they portrayed themselves. They probably learned the hard way that such components attract dangerous consequences if not compensated with good conscience and elaborate thinking.
For all other teenagers who are desperate to get the world’s attention by creating fake accounts and desperate followers. This story is a wake-up call that the outside world is much more valuable than fans. For parents, it would serve as a lesson on how much they need to explain their kids’ internet usage and what realistic goals to set.
Maybe what did not work in this case could pave the way for improved ethics in ways teens utilize social media and improve the relationship between parents and teens in talking about social media.
